Relaxation and Activities
Relaxation
From the Mökki you can relax comfortably in deckchairs and are just a few steps away from the pier. Or you can relax in the traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna and enjoy the warm jacuzzi right by the Mökki after a refreshing dip in the lake.
The Aitta has a seating area with a view of the lake. And you can walk from the Aitta to the pier in a few minutes and jump into the marvellous Saimaa water.
Activities around the Mökki and Aitta
If you want to be active, you can swim or fish directly from the pier or beach. Or you can take a rowing boat out onto the lake. Stand-up paddling, canoeing, kayaking and e-biking are other popular sports activities around Mökki and Aitta. In late summer, the surrounding forests are also full of berries and mushrooms waiting to be picked.

Or you can strap on snowshoes or cross-country skis and go on a tour of Lake Saimaa or the surrounding forests directly from Mökki or a short distance from Aitta.

Ruokolahti also has Finland's largest pump track, which is designed for cyclists, skaters and scooter riders alike. There are also several running and nature trails.
Or pamper yourself at one of Imatra's spa resorts. The water slides and waterfalls of the pool areas are very attractive for children, while parents can enjoy treatments of all kinds at the spa.
And there is also a golf course nearby.
Incidentally, the Saimaa region is becoming increasingly recognised for its outstanding local cuisine and was recently awarded the title of ‘European Gastronomy Region 2024’ by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism. The jury was particularly impressed by the region's ‘sustainable approach to life’, which is based on a unique combination of nature, culture and wellness.
